my 1998 4.6 hse has many problems several which are linked to corrosion to the white connections in the front passenger foot well which throws up alarm fault and wont let it start. I'm going to solder the wires together but there is 13 in one and 14 in the other what do I do with the extra one? any advice would be great !

Obviously spare on your car, I'd just cut the connector off and tape the wire up. Had the same with the white connectors in the a post on my P38, stuck a bit of glue filled heat shrink on the spare end.

thanks that's what I thought but you never know with a range rover !
 
Assuming it's the wires for C104 & C204 pair, they changed from 12w to 14w after VIN 381431. I seem to remember same on mine.
