UPDATE: Got to the garage this morning at 10 and decided to crack on with trying to get the engine fitted............... 10 minutes later it was in :D - got a few nuts and bolts done up and checked the feel of the new clutch - all good :D (had a celebratory coffee :) ) got on with refitting the engine mounts and oil cooler pipes........ put 6.8ltrs of 10w40 into the engine and after checking the sump plug was back in :D

Thought i'd check for oil pressure and tried the ignition key................ it started after 3 seconds of cranking :D let it run for 5 seconds until the oil pressure light went out and then stopped it :D carried on fitting everything else that the engine needs and called it a day at 7pm :)

Back in the morning to fill and bleed the coolant and take it for a spin :)

Why am I thinking about the Doc?

Nice one mate, that's the way it should go.

Can't see it meself unless the bushing is outta shape.

You've asked for advice.

mine is get some longer threaded bar inserted and use a bit of of force to tighten it all up. If it really won't go on by tightening the nuts up. you soon realise it. Get some pressure on the nuts then turn the crank pulley slowly. If it's jammed it won't turn. Some times ya just gotta give it a bit of brawn.

Whaa did I tell yee...:D

Well done ;)

sod the tea it's beer o'clock and break out the victory cigars .:p:D good on you mate.

:D Yep it was beer o'clock last night - i had a bottle of drovers ale to celebrate :D off back to the garage soon to finish the job - feels like a major achievement!!! (don't fancy repeating it anytime soon though....)
