Hi

I am totally new to Landys and have the luck to have a new 110 station wagon due for delivery before Christmas.

Because it will be all clean and virgin - are there some improvements that could be done before it gets covered in mud.

I am thinking of reliability focused jobs like sealing electrical connections and adding sealant to water traps.

It will be used initially for general running around, extended motorway, towing and forest tracks - nothing extreme.

Thanks
Dave

Just get out and try it out 1st. Dont think you need to seal anything, but remember your maximum wading depth. This depth will also take into account the electrickery, so you shouldnt get any trouble at all really. Just remember to wash underneath when our done. you will soon find the hidden mud traps :)

I personally would take the time to waxoil the INTERNAL tube parts of the bulkhead, I've just got rid of my 85 110 and the bulkhead was still spot on as it had been done from new.

worth doing insde the door cards as well, and of course the chassis internals.

Thankyou for your response.

I shall certainly get out and use it, and start learning the ropes.

Hopefully it will be with me for the long term so it will be interesting to see how it compares with the earlier series.
