Hi can anyone help. I have a landy 110, towing a rapier 1 tonne trailer. I only use the trailer for winter gritting and when I parked up at the end of last winter everything electrical was sound, all the landrover lights and trailer lights were working and in co-ordination. Then this summer I lost a headlight prior to the MOT and my meccy could not find the fault. The only way he could get the 110 thru the MOT was to bridge the headlights but now the trailer lights have gone bonkers, dim and dimmer, left hand indicater van, right hand indicater trailer, stop lights van, no stoplights trailer etc, should I throw it in the bin

Beg, steal or borrow another trailer with lights that are known to work - if same problems, then it is your landy wiring at fault (possibly earthing somewhere? ). If the borrowed lights work ok then either spend an couple of freezing cold hours checking through the trailer wiring, or get yourself down to Halfrauds with 30 quid and get a new board :D
Then...get your mean, kean gritting machine up here....another 6" last night!!!!:(

As an emergency get you out the **** measure. Buy a trailerboard and fit it to the back of yer trailer. cut the plug off and then scotchlock the wires to your existing rear wiring. Or fit a sankey plug if you have the time.
