When I was a kid they were actually a small company which cared. Utterly crap. Just had my agreed value after a year. Exactly the same as a standard Landy, despite this one being rebuilt, new engine, new gearbox, Rakeway clutch, new everything, specced to bits, and they're demanding £15 for the privilege of undervaluing it by about 30%.
Cold, miserable, call center service. Might as well be dealing with Direct Line as a supposed "specialist".

I may do. However, my renewel is die soon and I'm mostly minded to eff off elsewhere, pausing only to flick them the Vs.

Gonna talk to my local NFU (Mutual) office, which insures the Disco. They're great, local, human beings on the end of the phone and actually give *** about service.

So what do you think its worth and how much have they said its worth?

flux are even worse when you make changes mid-way or want to change the vehicle...they baffle my mind how they would insure me on my skyline for a decent price yet not give me a good price on my diesel vectra?!

Ive just insured 3 motors on 3 separate policy's with them 2 weeks ago and they couldn't have been more helpful!
All 3 policies where 25% cheaper than anyone else with all mods listed. When listing mods with other companies the price goes through the roof!
All paper work sent by email saving on paper and time waiting for it to land. And all done from Siberia..

Maybe it depends on the person that you speak to on the day i'm not sure. And maybe if I have to claim one day my opinion will change, until then i'm happy with them

It does! I phoned them the other day to declare a few mods first person I spoke to was useless didn't know what a snorkel would come under and what the steering guard would be for so I hung up. Phoned back half hour later and all was sorted in 5 minutes.

The vectra is business they dont want so they price accordingly. For me 3.9 v8 rangey 200 podd, 1..25 fiesta over 800

How much did they charge you for the adjustments?

Here's my experience with Adrian Flux;

1. Bought my first discovery almost two years ago:
They quoted me on the comparison websites as the cheapest, so I took out a policy with them.

2. A year went by and they send me my renewal price:
I thought it was a bit high, considering I had gained another years NCB, and had gone into a cheaper age group, but hey ho, and went with it.

3. I changed my policy for an MGB GT:
About 6 months into my second years discovery cover, I change the disco for an MG. They gave me some of my second years policy premium back, and then charged me a full 12 months policy with the MG. (Basically, they told me that they couldn't change my policy half way through (odd because they did it before for me), but they could cancel the current one, give me some rebate, and then they would set me up with a different company on the M. What they didn't tell me was that the new company's policy was a brand new one for 12 months, which is annoying because I told them that I wanted to leave Adrian flux as I wasn't happy with their prices and service).

4. MGB ownership left me empty, so I got rid, and replaced with another (older and cheaper) Discovery:
Adrian flux said that the cheapest quote that they could do, was with Aviva insurance, and that it was over 2000! I thought that was bizare, since the discovery I had insured through them only a month before, was half that. I looked online and saw that the cheapest quotes on the comparison websites were around 750 quid. They cheapest of them all, was with... you've guessed it, Aviva insurance. I call Adrian flux, and question them, only to have a defensive reply, from a sharp and patronising cow on the other end of the phone. I opt out of my policy with Adrian flux, taking 11 months of my premium with me, and spend it on insuring myself with Aviva, but saving about 1300 quid.

Will never go with them again.

Thieving bastards. A year on, yet another year of NCB (12 now), moved 300 yards to a house in which the LR is now kept in a locked garage rater than on the street - insurance up 23%. And last week they were sending me evil texts about renewal and proving numbers which didn't work from abroad. Finally got them via their marketing agency and asked them if they'd like to come out to the DRC and collect it in cash.
Corporate, computer-says-no ****e. Used to be a proper broker once. Total crap now.
