Isn't this the same as the renewals rip off? Charge the earth and waive it for the ones that complain (especially publicly). Wouldn't it be better if evryone was treated fairly in the first place.

I hate this 'squeaky wheel gets the grease' ****

Well they under write for 30+ company"s and they have to follow the rules set forth by the company's. With all the Phone center employees they have there must be a set in stone procedures/rules they must follow to the letter and are in no position to make changes or allowances.
I believe this is where Ed and Jordan come into the picture, special service for LZ, and just about bet that Jordan and ED are dealing with Adrain Flux money to make you a happy camper. As In taking a little less in commissions for the company to retain a customer. Just think if everyone had the authority to do that it would be total chaos. Or another way to look at it, Like a tax account finding you all the loop holes to pay less on taxes.

I have a complaint... my insurance costs me money... i feel A/F should be paying me for my 3 insurance polices I have with them... I mean, I've got the Coleman event shelter from them for Morocco and laning trips, which is awesome... but... i really feel they could do a bit better for me...

Jordan / Ed - please could you look into this for me?

We always give second vehicle discounts, so as & when the policies renew the premium is calculated partially on the basis that you are an existing customer with X amount of policies.

If you want a pen give me a PM with your policy number and i'll do my best.. no promises though i'm afraid!

if you insure with them, don't need a LR to insure with them. Your present insurance company to cheap to give out pens.

Similar experiences here!

Just about to get my 'new' Landrover a 110 CSW P reg.

Current insurance company said oh it's a TD5... To which I replied no its not! It must be as our info comes from DVLA...They also said it must be registered incorrectly.... (It's not).

Long story short, went with Adrian Flux who immediately identified it as a 300tdi and gave a reasonable quote.

Then cost me £80 to cancel with current insurer. Two months cover totalling £180 !!!!

Broker fees etc... Yeah right. Making money the easy way is more like it.

This practise is industry wide and will not change until government or the FSA decide its a rip off and change legislation.
