I want to up my turbo pressure on my 200TDi to that of a 300TDi....:)
I have read many threads about this but non included a photo.
I am 1st going to add a turbo gauge (a la Bustersbus post) to ensure I do not go too mad:eek: and also to understand what pressure the turbo is at the moment.
Question is then , as the attached photey
What do I turn? Do I loosen the locking nut at 'B' and then bolt C clockwise (as you look at B) ?
Why do some people cut/saw the adjusting bolt?

Adjust it to mKe the distance between b and c smaller. You probably won't need too much, half a cm to a cm max probably.

OK bear with me please
1) Do I undo the locking nut at B
2) remove the circlip from A
3) turn the outer housing CW towards C

i.e. does the bolt not turn in the outer housing as it is secure at C?
Does that make sense?

I think.. Not 100% as iv never done it on a land rover, if you back b off then screw c inwards then lock b again.

I am also keen to to place the turbo gauge in the right place i.e. the inlet manifold rather than the wastegate exhaust...there is a good debate here http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f7/adjusting-turbo-boost-200tdi-40691-3.html Has anyone got photos of where they have tapped into a 200tDI inlet manifold??

No photo on this PC but I have done this mod..... you are right to ask where to drill 200tdi as they very thin walled.

Drill on the radius of the front end - where the inlet is as this is thick and tappable if you drill on the side body the wall is only 3mm thick and in alloy thats thin.
