Hi Guys,
Im trying to remove the drivers side side bars on my truck but access to the screw is blocked by what appears to be the air tank for the rear wheel.

Can anyone help me with how I can easily get access? I need to remove the existing hanger and fit a new one for the side steps I've just purchased.

Cheers

M.

I tried asking earlier but hope a different title will generate more interest.

thats what I figured, so...

How do I take out the tank? Is it straight forward or best to get a garage to do it?

Hi Mate
I can ansewer this for you
the one your trying to get out the bolt does'nt come out?
the hanger has a slot in it undo the 10mm bolt as far as it can and then wiggle the hanger it is a L shaped slot the new one you have should be the same
theres no need to remove any tanks

if only...

I'll double check but the side bars/hangers are fully molded with no gaps.

The new hanger does indeed have a cunning little gap though.

Desticado,

I thought this too when removing the side bars from my car.

However, with the bolt slackened, it did come off with a bit of jiggling.
