hi all what parts are required to completely remove ACE and is it possible to still drive the disco with only changing the pump to an idler. I really need to use the car at the weekend to move some stuff. I will eventually get around to changing the anti roll bars once i locate some second hand ones. what are your thoughts on this subject?? many thanks its driving me mad having it parked up:mad::mad:

You prob won't 'need' 4xARB brackets but will need the rest.

You will be ok driving it but I'd nurse it, be careful when it comes to cornering/ take it easy as ACE won't work obviously.
Remember you will require new belt for idler pulley.

You will also have ACE warning light on dash, until you can tell BCU it's not fitted via nanocom/hawkeye.

I couldn't advise running it with pump removed , if you had an accident due to that it might not go well in your favour.
I did quite a lit of price research for mine for the parts and paddocks were quite a lot cheaper than the other
I tried to find second hand but they were nearly the cost of new.
Bars don't take long at all to change though

theres a few good threads on this

thanks for all responses i have hunted high and low for standard ARB's to no avail they are like hens teeth or silly money. I just want me landy back on the road

Cheers biggeeeee. Belt and idler ordered from paddocks and searching eBay for arb s. Is the pump easy to remove ??

if you cant get bars ,the ram can be replaced with solid bar to lock arms together ,works very well
would you use solid bar the same length as the ram when the vehicle is stationary. only because i assume the ram changes its length when cornering. or have i just made that up:D

Same length as the ram when vehicle on level ground switched off

Sorry to jump on this thread, but while on the subject I have a td5 converted to springs, I used Hawkeye to reprogram to springs but the light is still on (orange) any one had this before?

i made a c shape bracket for bar end and then used 12mm threaded bar for rod and adjusted it so both ends were level
