Has anyone changed the ace ram bush before? Mine has a fair bit of play and needs changing.
Not to be confused with the D bush on the anti roll bar,it’s the one that looks like this....

This looks to be an interference fit to me,anyone fitted it in situ on the car?
Any help or advice is always appreciated.

Changed mine last year before as it was totally knackered. Tried driving old one out but wasn't moving. Luckily my nephew works at local Ford dealership so he took roll bar in to work and did it after work and dropped it back next day. He was going to use hydraulic press but ended up using an f in great hammer and big bangs. Was in very tight apparently.
Don't know if that's any help to you.

I would be very tempted to get hold of another bar, and fit new ram, gaiter and bush.

I have the worn bush, a new ram and bush ready.

Rear bar I bought a new one for £60 a couple of years ago.

Once off the car there are old school ways of getting it off.
If using a vice, lubricant and various sized sockets to press it out doesn't work...
Think hacksaw on the metal parts to split 'em, drill (Dremel or equivalent) or fire to remove flexible bit(s), hammer and chisel to remove the outer metal sleeve after carefully sawing through it. (maybe in more than one place.)
Then clean up the arm's hole and push the new one in with a vice.
You can tell I'm tight! and although I have done a similar job, it was a pain and funnily enough I think the last time I did it was on the ARB on a D1, but my memory may be failing. But I did actually do it on the truck, so didn't use a vice. Must have pressed the new one in with a FO G-clamp.
