Hi all, quick question if I may, subject to a code read, I believe the transducer may be the cause of my amber ACE light (no fluid loss etc). If I replace the transducer myself, is there any subsequent setting needed from a reader, or is it just a plug and play? Thanks in advance!
 
From what I can see, it's "plug'n'play". The only advice I can offer is since it's mounted into the valve block, make sure that everything is spotless before you remove the old one and you preserve the cleanliness while you install the new one. DO NOT ALLOW ANY DIRT OR DUST TO GET INTO THE SYSTEM.
Also, since you are opening the hydraulic system, you're probably going to have to go through the bleed procedure.

For bleeding I found driving side to side helped

I had an empty system but got it full in not much time.

Started cross axling on ramps. then topped up and drove it around bends
 
It's plug and play, be prepard with the replacement and move fast then the fluid loss will be insignificant... and as Brian said take care with cleanliness

I thought I’d just say thank you to all the above forum members, and after the purchase of a 27mm deep socket, some ingenious application of wobble bars, extensions and joints, the old transducer was removed, with limited leakage, care taken beforehand to ensure no loose dirt etc present, and a new one installed. Result... no more “wobbly car” warning on the dash, and actually much better handling.

A good read including the invaluable write up on the Disco pressure transducer replacement . Not sure if I have the space for a 27mm socket though , I have a RR Sport with same block , maybe have to slacken the valve mounting bolts to chassis.
 
I've just done the job and found it tricky to say the least with a deep 27mm socket, so my only piece of advice would be to obtain a half-deep 27 mm socket. As for the rest of the advice on this thread....

Fluid loss is minimal and no need to go through any purging or bleeding process and yep, switch on the ignition and off you go!

Ha just a bit late in reading this today , , bought a thin walled deep 27mm socket and its too long! Will have a look .

Do you remember the code you got and followed up . The one I got is C1B11-1D{AF}.General Electrical failure-circuit curret out of range . I can get 5v with ign on but nothing else off plug end.

I was using a Foxwell.
But if you read throught the thread you'll see what happened to me and yes a deep socket will be too long. I nearly took and angle grinder to mine, it is one for a 24 mm diesel injector.

I'm affraid that this code has nothing to do with a D2 or the scanner is not compatible, that's a specific D3/4 or RRS code and even if it's just a software thing and let's say the code is correct for D2 it has nothing to do with the transducer, to diagnose this you have to remove and bridge the relay's contact cavities n the fusebox and read live inputs, post the results here and i'll tell you more then (provided you have a proper scantool to communicate directly with the ACE ECU not some generic one)

Didn't notice that he was trying to read this to do with a D3/4 or RRS.:(
so what you say makes perfect sense!
 
Ok , sorryl this is Rr Sport , the diagnostic is fairly clever , its GAPP IID TOOL. Perhaps I can get some live data on the ecu , never thought of that !

So just link which terminals , I have read its the parallel ones will have a look and get back .

You are in the wrong forum section mate, try here https://www.landyzone.co.uk/forum/range-rover.10/ cos the RRS is a completely different beast, i have no experience with it but i can tell that even though the valve block is the same that code is not about the transducer i'm sure
