Hi can anyone help, my ace light is on the dash (amber). Heres the funny part it goes out when we have a cold night. Upon first start up in morning, i drive for about 20ft then it comes on again and stays there. Any idea or tips, oh yeah local garage linked it up to diagnostic and told me the ace block is shagged, and it would cost me £1000 for a new one. I then took it somewhere else for a second opinion and they linked it up, and hey presto they said i need a new ace ecu. So what should i go with, and has anyone had the same problem thanks karl.

It would be useful to get the fault code yourself - something like nanocom can read it. Then you could google what options you have. It might well be something simple (like the ACE pressure transducer) etc, but without the exact code you're SOL.

I agree, get the actual fault.............The valve block cannot go tits up, its the "Bits" in it, which are infact 90% replacable.

My vote goes on Pressure Transducer is duff

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that when the light first came on the disco just decided to hop in to the air about every 10 seconds and I mean hop.

I removed my ACE a few months back. Cost was around £380 I think... They remove the ACE pump, and use an idler gear on the Aux belt in it's place. Swap the front antiroll bar for a non-ACE one, and tell the "brain" it doesn't have ACE. And throw away all the pipes underneath.

Wish I had done it ages ago...

BUT - works best on a coil-sprung (as is mine) - if you have air suspension it can lean a bit in corners!
