Does anybody know if missing gaiter from ace actuator will fail MOT been trying to get this off seems like it's been over torque and I can't remove it also been trying to get hold of the tool for removing it even talked to bosch tools who supply land rover and was told I needed trade account with vat number also they would not give me info on people they supply this tool too.

Clean the end nut up, drill attachment can help, hammer a socket on there, clamp the piston in a well folded rough towel, and give it a go. do NOT clamp anything metal etc on the piston itself.

Tried that i broke a pair of grips in process looks like it's been heavily over torqued so going to have it done in garage. First time i have give up I'm just going to change droplinks and drop it in to get gaiter changed and have mot done.
Thanks for the info

Only other option really is a vise, but then of course you have to take the whole arb off the car. Guessing only dealership will have that tool, if that thing is even able to undo it.
