So a friend wanted to strip down his ACE valve block and due to lack of research failed to realise that the DCVs are opposite threads (i assume to avoid switching them?). Well instead of asking google why it wouldnt move he asked for a bigger spanner and the dcv snapped. Long story short, I gave him a spare i had and now i would like to know if these DCVs are something generic which we can buy from any (hydraulics?) store or is it something land rover specific? i cannot find any available online, unless we buy a whole second hand valve block

I had a look on the internet and came up with this, you may need to copy and paste it to get it open

https://aerosus.co.uk/land-rover/di...2004/land-rover-discovery-ii-valve-block.html

I also came across this

https://www.wabco-customercentre.com/catalog/en/4722525610

and finally this

From what you said in the first post i understood the the problem is with the hydraulic valve not with the solenoid and those are not listed as spares, the only one which appears in the RRS catalogue which has the same ACE block is for the pressure control valve, nr 5B321 in this link https://partsouq.com/en/catalog/gen...=12129&cid=20406&uid=5882&q=SALLSAA138A171318 but if you google RVH500100 and watch it's image you can see that it's different than the DCV which looks like in the pic but not listed as p/n, also at what price it has it's better to find a used block

thanks for the clarification, that clears it up for me, somehow. off to look for a second hand valve block

HI, I have looked at your photo and I just cant see your part in the exploded drawing, or am I missing something , as new block is just under £1700, I think it would be better to replace the lot with a none ACE anti roll bar system at a fraction of the price

Hi, you are certainly missing the point in this thread, the OP needs that valve shown in post #6 which is not a spare but it can be removed from a used block or simply swap the entire block  ... it's just a matter of availability at the wreckers cos the price is like this https://www.gentlemenofsalvage.co.u...and-rover-1998-to-2004?variant=32115841531964

yup, my ace works, sort of (got another thread for that), just want to replace the part which i had spare as i like to keep spares haha

yes, but it isnt anywhere as good right? :)

No the ACE system is worth keeping if you can. I wouldn’t be evangelical about it, but it deserves some love as it makes for a better drive for sure.
