Hi, I've found and read loads of threads about how people have changed to a non ACE system by using the new pulley/belt routine...but no walkthrough as to how to do this - just that they did! Avoiding the various pros and cons of ACE/NoACE, does anyone know where I can find a How To...already got the pulley and belt on order.

Thank you!

I carry an idler and appropriate belt should my ACE spring a leak when im out and about. At least you could get to a garage or home without frying the pump.

Much easyer to carry the proper banjo with 30cm of hose attched(and 1l of oil) as to connect the pump's oulet to the tank's return port, 3 minutes job instead of removing the pump and fitting idler and belt in the field.

What size are those as I could get one made up locally?

I can't tell you unless i start digging for this info as i was at a friend who has a LR scrapyard and made it there by cutting and removing the outlet pipe from a scrapped D2 and improvised a simple rubber hose to it to fit the tank's return port, it's no pressure in that bypass at all
