You might not even need a new cable. A few weeks after buying my 300 one day without warning the accel pedal became 'sticky' and although it pushed down fine, I had to hook my toes underneath to bring it back up.
Mate of mine had a look at it for me, disconected the cable at the engine side and gunned a load of wd40 down it. 5 mins later and it was better than new. Havent had a problem with it since.
