Changed both front ABS sensors on a 2000 1.8 freelander as had 3 amigos and when I read the faults I was told both front sensors had failed .

so changed both sensors and rings and right one was showing "output to low " so sent it back and got another and all was good .

but then the lights came back on and fault " front left sensor output to low "

so I sent that back and replaced with a different one from a different supllier .

still getting fault "front left output to low "??????

any ideas

is it low resistance or low voltage....

who was your supplier of sensors ive had some NEW bad sensors from a supplier onlineand mine were both front had to claim from paypal after i had 5 fronts and he refused to say he had a bad batch.... are you sure that they are the only faults

test the sensor at the sensor reconnect it all and test the sensor again at the ABS ecu you should get the same reading which is good any different then the fault could be between the sensor and ecu

doesn't cost anything to try

What cable do you have, can you suggest a good cable and software combo, cheap as possible, need some diags for my hippo.

With VWs I only use vagcom as others give various descriptions for the same fault, which can lead you up the wrong gqrden path

if you're after reasonably comprehensive stuff at cost go chinese .

there are a lot of multi vehicle interfaces that will give good results .

on Sale Scan Diag Box Standard Kit ScanDiag

this one is veru good for the price I have one of these , it gives very good access to just about every land rover except very early P38s but then thats no surprise .

full access to freelanders including SRS systems , and LR models up to 2012 .

it also covers almost any other vehicle you might come across ( some better than others but but very good on most ) and is better than VCDS LITE ( vagcom non registered ) and almost as good as good as the registered version,

Live data , eml reset , airbag reset , key and fob programming ( manufacturor permitting ) , injector coding , service light reset , specific actuator testing etc etc
