Took it into my local L.R. independent, and he shoved it onto the diagnostic thing.
F/O/S sensor air gap incorrect. Needs a new one apparently.

Strange though. Sometimes the light goes out, but then stopping is violently interupted by severe shuddering at low speeds. Light comes back on, and normal braking resumes.
I believe the ABS light being on is an MOT failure. Due next week too.

Can't i just disconnect the ABS completely and tell them that it doesn't have it?
For ruddy tarts that don't know how to drive and brake properly anyway imo.

You don't seem to be having much luck at the mo, best to get the abs fixed as opposed to disconnecting it.

About £140 for a new sensor apparently! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Metal filings from pads/discs tend to collect on the ABS sensors as they are magnetic, this tend to confuse the ABS ecu, try taking out the sensor and cleaning it, the air gap changes as the sensor sheds and collects the filings, you never know your luck.
