Hi there I have a 2002 discovery 2 td5 and also have a 2004 discovery 2 td5,
Can anyone advise me on how to check and see if the abs is compatible please as mechanics where I live in Moray don't seem to want to help at all so I'm going to have to do the work myself. As shown in the photos will the one that reads 2001 disco be compatible in my 2004 disco

Hi, all those pictures are about a ABS modulator which's part number is 100% irrelevant, as long as it was removed from a D2 it doesnt matter if it's an older or newer version cos they are all the same so if you want to replace it for some reason you can do it without fear ...though you should have revealed your problem before deciding to replace that whole unit cos in 99% of cases the problem is more simple

Well one of the D2 is going for scrap and the abs is all working on that one so was going to do a straight swap of the solenoids in the abs as I'm thinking that's why it's reading both read valves open fault came up, it also says the exhaust valve is open too which again I was going to do a straight swap of parts from one to the other as the chassis and sills etc won't pass the MOT on the D2 that's going for scrap. Any help of knowledge would be great.
I'm using the icarsoft diagnostics tool which you can remove fault readings but doesn't come up with an exact code for the fault which I'm surprised at. I'll take pics after to show the faults and see if anyone can help

Connect the electrical plugs into the working ABS modulator near the one in the vehicle without fitting the pipes to it just for test to make sure it's not an external wiring or SLABS ECU issue in which case you will get the same codes with the good modulator too, if no codes with the replacement you can simply swap the whole units don't try to fix the faulty one by dismantling the good one for parts
