Yeah, I've got a 10 spline in the shed. Be good if you could.
Well it's kind of confusing, They're known at 2 pin diffs but only have 1.
So yeah, 1 pin 2 pin. Same thing.

A lot of Facebook selling pages do them. I think there only £30 a diff, 50 at most but i think ive seen people selling full axles at £80 a pair.

If you want me to keep an eye out i can get hold of some i bet.

Aye, £50 is what I was thinking, But could do with being cheaper.
They'll be getting a full rebuild anyway so cheaper the better.
£30 sounds more like my prices :p Yep tight twunt
To be fair I'd take a pair of axles if they wasn't much more than a pair of diffs.
Always handy to have spares.
But, Yeah, If you could keep an eye out that'd be good mate :)

Aye, You would do :D

Just alters the gear ratios mate :) Nothing complicated.
Just means at 70mph I'll be at 2000rpm instead of 2500-2600 If it even went that far.
Should make it much more drivable. Diff pegging just stops the crown wheel from flexing so I don't loose any teeth :p

Should be a bit more relaxing than my setup. 3500 buys me 55mph. I don't dare go beyond that other than for brief urgent situations :)

Yeah, Still be pretty loud mind
Christ, What engine you got fitted. Different ratio transfer box would help mind.
Suppose it depends what sort of driving you do.
Mines going to be the daily so the gearing needs to be right (ish) :)

£60 for a pair cocka.

Ooh, That was quicker than I thought :D
Are they the other side of the country though :(
PM if you want?

Good to have the saga back on line. 10 days without a post
70mph at 2000rpm, that's cruising at a comfy purr.

If they my way Aaron I'll pick um up for you. I'll hang fire until pay day and I'll get hold of a pair for you. They always spare around this end. I could check the korc page that's up your way.

Surprised it hasn't been longer to be fair. It hasn't been touched for a fair while.
I've said it before but I've kind of lost interest in it due to lack of money to finish mainly, Even thought theirs stuff to do that would cost little or no money to do I just think whats the point :(

But yeah, 70mph at 2000rpm isn't too bad :)

Cool, Sounds good to me :) I swap you chassis :p
No rush what so ever for them anyway.
I've tried to buy and sell on facebook before and it did my head in
People want to sell stuff for top dollar and give you peanuts for yours.
Was a while ago mind so may have changed slightly.

Well money I owe u for bits off you will cover diffs so fair play. Just a matter of when I'm up there next. Once I've moved in new house and sorted things I might have a ride over with my mates transit pickup it should fit on there.

You are right to get this sorted properly Aaron - from the outset. Mine is also my daily drive, so it's really something I need to sort out. I've no sound proofing. Up to 2500 it's not too bad but beyond that it's fairly loud! It's a 200TDI on a 1.6 transfer box. Military gearbox as well so extra low first and second gears. I've got a 1.2 transfer box from a disco in the garage and all the bits ready to do a change over. Just need the time.

On the plus side, acceleration is outstanding. I always start in 2nd and don't need any 'gas' to get rolling on all but the steepest of hills. It picks up strongly in 4th and 5th. I'm in 5th from 30 to top speed. It would be ideal if it had a 7 speed box.

This reminds me that I need to finish my R380 rebuild with the V8 5th gear. Fingers crossed I won't knacker another case this time!

Good to see some progress Aaron.

No worries dude, I went and picked my galv chassis up in a transit tipper so should be ok.

Yeah, That's my thinking now, Originally I wanted it done as quick as I can and do odd bits once it's on the road.
I'm now thinking just get everything as I want it before I even consider putting it on the road. Money is the major factor at the mo and I recon I'll be lucky to even get it on the road this year :(
Things just don't seem to be going right at all, Not the lr but everything else.
I've seriously considered just sticking it in storage for 6 months until I have all the funds available to finish it properly.

Sounds like you need to sort that gearing, Will make it much nicer to drive :)
Only a couple of hour job :p

Yeah, No physical progress but the bits are here for when I can afford to build them up :)

Best not have a beer or 6 before hand then this time :p
