Popped past mr clutch to see how they are getting on with my 110 gearbox refurbishment.

I looked through the front passengers window !

Wheres my interior gone, i hope it gets put back properly!

This seems a hard way to go about it? Haynes say drop it out with a lift, not strip it out! Glad they're doing it as good will for incorrectly diagnosing a gear selection fault!

check photo out!

Thats how I did my transfer box, but the seat boxes were coming out anyway. Seems like a lot of work..:)

thats how you do a landy gearbox ,out into the motor cos the cross member dunt come out ,,,well it dunt on my two siii,s dunno @ deependers tho?......dave

well to replace the clutch it was 300 quid.

Though this is a separate lot of work, I've got them to do this free of charge, as they didnt diagnose the fault properly first time round; I had selection problems with rev, 1st and 2nd they diagnosed it as a knackered clutch so thats what i had done and it didnt make a spot of difference! So i getting them t actually fix the problem this time. They have sent the gearbox away to be refurbished.

But 300 for the clutch replacement is good, if they adopted the same method for removing the box, as they have this time!

what ya think?

ps its still in the garage now, they've got it for 3-4 days, my interior best get put back how it was!

Was it 300 including the clutch?

300 quid supplied and fitted the clutch only.

the work im posting about is the gearbox refurb :)

how much did you pay?

they are paying for it. They said it was the clutch causing poor gear selection. So i had that done, and it was no better. So I got them to fix the original fault for no extra cost:D! So i dont know what the work would have cost.

must have saved me at least 500 for labour and the refurb :)

think you got a bargain there !

they won't be making that mistake again

lol, loving the plug.

did you strip it out like that tho?

I was just doing the clutch so remove floor and cross member then drop box onto the floor.

BTW, my £300 included a 3 part clutch and release fork mods.
