Hi,
My disco has had the air suspension removed and replaced with springs...
but still makes a noise when I park up as if the compressor is pumping. How do I stop this?
Also got a hissing noise at the front that also makes a loud noise like q boy racer filter at like 2000rpm

Remove the compressor and wiring, maybe?

You might recoup a little money on ebay for it, people adapt them to use for on-board air for locking diffs or just tyre pumps!

I only had a D1, but I think there's a dedicated fuse that would be worth removing too.

only somebody with a dedicated D2 tester can do that and it's about plugging the tester in and setting it to coils, that's all

Must get round to doing mine. I get the warning light come on if i'm in crawling traffic and an occassional "pssh" when i'm sitting at idle which i've always assumed is the compressor venting.

Does it need to be deleted or can it just be removed/fuse pulled?
What will happen if you don't delete it and perform the above? I ask as I suspect mine is flattening my battery (new and a good tested alt) when left for a few days.

Removing the fuse/relay would let only the compresor without feed but the SLS side of the SLABS is on the same fuse with the ABS side so you can't remove that and as long as the SLS is not disabled with tester there will still be a drain
