hello
dont want to steal this thread, but how long should a new a frame ball joint last?
i fitted a new one 8 months ago not OEM and its fooked, what could casus this? the landy is used off road (quite alot)

Cheap and nasty parts from the likes of paddocks. Get the decent quality stuff it only costs a bit more but lasts ten times as long.

well, mine did last 12 months (****part).

i didnt know it was ****epart, in fact i had thought i bought a good one from a landrover dealer 22quid plus vat, it was in a plastic bag no writing on the bag, so i dont know a fook what i bought. i know one thing i will not be back in that shop

new one will be geniune landrover part

Its not the adjustable type for that price is it ? ( big slot in the top of it )

NO, just a normal ball joint, i have seen the same type on fleaby and they where as cheap as chips

reading into your question then i paid to much??????

Nar just depends where you buy from tbh m8 , you may of had one that wasnt assembled correctly from the factory ( not enough preload ) so it failed very soon . Ive fitted a few in the past that has lasted Ages

thanks for the reply, one thing is for sure u cant drive the landy without one of these ball joints

its just a pain in the arse having to press them out and in
