Actually I do have another question:

Does anyone know if there is any real difference between a joint for say 22 pounds and a joint for say 70 pounds ? Are they all similar in quality or just different prices ? Then I wonder if the adjustable ones are worth the extra ? I only drive locally on tarmac so no great stress on the vehicle.

The adjustable ones just allow you to prolong the life of the balljoint which, as its its a #### of a job to replace, is no bad thing. Pricewise it depends what the brand name on it is, if the 22 quid one is a britpart then I would steer clear. You can get them a lot cheaper than 70 though. I've heard people speak highly of the gwyn lewis 4x4 adjustable balljoints, you can get them off ebay
