Hello, I have a Freelander 2 in ipanema Sand colour. Its a rather unusual colour and I can't seem to find door handles or Side mirrors in ipanema sand http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-VPLDC0003GAQ. I was wondering if it would be worth painting it with the ipanema sand paint from LR.

Also, I was wondering about chipping or mapping the car. Its the 2.2 diesel putting up a respectable 400nm go torque.

I'm rather new to this, so bear with me.

I want to look at the option of tinting the car, although i'm concerned how it will contract with the sand colour. Is it unwise to buy pre cut tints and fit it yourself?

Can't comment on the colour issues or the tints but I have read many posts on chipping and the advice is always don't do it. Always go for a remap.

However there is also suggestion that the slightly fragile clutch may suffer with increased torque...
