I am a newish owner of a TD5 Disco 2 X Reg. I have already had to change the fuel pump, two air bags (just today). Now I still have a few problems to trouble shoot and I am a bit lost where to start. The first one is the interior lights, they don't come on when you open the door, they work fine off the switch but thats all, it's a bit awkward when your getting the baby out the back. The second problem is the radio, it's just died, seems to have power to it as the standby light is on but that's it, been working fine until now, unfortunately it's an after market radio, so don't expect too much help with this one.
Next problem is the dashboard and climate illumination. In the dark with the lights on all the climate buttons are not illuminated, I guess there is a problem with bulbs somewhere but not sure where to look. The speedo and rev counter area is also pretty dark and you cannot see the fuel gauge at all.
The last problem is the heater, the car warms up to say halfway on the temp gauge but unless I go over 2500 rpm there is no heat to the cabin, soon as I stop the heat vanishes again. Had a new head gasket fitted and an anti-freeze top up down at a local Landrover specialist, since then it's not been right.
Any guidance you guys can offer would be much appreciated, oh and merry Christmas!!!!!!!!
