Hello folks
I bought a 2.5dse manual back in Jan dirt cheap as a run around... It's just passed a fresh MOT with a few small chores - ABS sensors and a few bushes... It's now had a fresh clutch to cement it staying for as long as poss now. And some BFG KM2 255s...
So a few questions as I make it a little more rugged and suitable for a little bit of laning as well as event/festival site work...
Bumpers - how different are the mountings to say, a Disco 1 or 2 bumper? I want to put a winch bumper on it and have a welder mate who would help. But basically whats the most similar bumper fit as I can get a good D2 one for £80 wish rather than £300 odd for a new P38 one... Cant see any second hand available. Hoping to at least minimise modification for him...
Coils - it's already on coils which some won't agree with. Lets not have that discussion! It's already happened and I'm fairly happy with it. Am putting some slightly lifted springs on soon to refresh them as they're a bit haggard. It's already got some kind of EAS bypass 'manual' mode installed so no dash issues. So I take it I can just remove the compressor, tank and hoses and flog that off? Removing the compressor is unlikely to mess up any existing electronics and throw me a curveball?
