I love it. I'd only have the V6. It doesn't do head gaskets as often as the 1.8.
They are thirsty, mine returns sub 20 mpg daily. It does put a smile on your face when giving it some beans!!
Check all K series faults though.
thanks for the reply's Its a 2000 with only 68k on the clock its got the leather interior its the 4 door. I normally go for V6 Cars so I'm no stranger to the performance which is down on what I'm used to. I know the timing belt will probably need changing and maybe change the auto box fluid.
You hear horror stories about the freelander's reliability. Ive done quite a bit of research and find that probably the best engine to go for is the old diesel. I'm pretty handy with the spanners so maintenance and changing parts out wont be a problem. saying that the last thing I want is a money pit.
