Hi all,

A stupid question to ask but I am trying to check my wiring harness for oil ingress - it appears to be a well know problem on the TD5.

I posted earlier and Jim very kindly answered suggesting I "check the red plug on the ECU for oil".

Where is the ECU and the red plug?

I've tried tracing the wiring but can't see where it is going.

I thought we was refering to the injector harness itself, I've had the cam cover off but that plug is black.

I've found another post saying the ECU plug was under the drivers seat but it isn't under any of my front seats.

Feeling daft, but hoping for an answer...

Don;t worry - found it eventually. Didn't see the compartment under the seat.

Unfortuately is wasn't the problem - as clean as a whistle :-(
