TBH I had assumed it did but looking around the cab there are no warning stickers so I guess it doesn't. It's not an import vehicle.

Since no one was interested in buying the Disco I took her to a mechanic and we've found the problem:

First the Air flow meter was failing. We replaced it and the drop in power stopped but there was still something not quite right.

Then a lambda sensor error appeared so we replaced that... the engine was running better but was REALLY lumpy on idle.

Next we replaced all the sparks and some of the HT leads and it's fine now

No loss of power any more. No lumpy, good acceleration and gear work... phew.

Just though I'd update the thread incase anyone else comes across the same bizarre problem.

Gonna stick it on ebay soon. I still need to get rid of it
