I can say if looked after and oil is changed regularly (as it should be) as with all diesels it's very important to do that, I recommend it, its no V8, but then if that's what you want you would buy that and not a derv right? They are bombproof, you can get EGR removal blanking kits for £40, but I don't know if they recommended or not, if you fit one it stops hesitation and a flat spots and other clams, I don't know if its true or hipe
I was always told to leave EGR's in place buddy which is why i never removed mine. Obviously less to go wrong on the pre EGR models too. I am not after speed these days. Just reliability and decent MPG on a long run. I only poodle at about 65 now on the motorways with cruise control on.
