The stock motors are not exactly known for longevity so I thought - what the hell and bought Britpart ones - they can't be any worse than the all ready rubbish OEMs. They've lasted two years so far - but there is the handbook symbol on the HEVAC - my Lynx doesn't report any errors.

That's either a cheque book or a bible - depends on your way of thinking.

Hi our p38 has the same problem apart from the air bags. Overheating and temp in the car is stifling even when turned to cool. We have changed water pump and coupling and replaced the coolant and still the problem remains. We are running out of ideas pls someone help us!

Do just mean temp in car cannot be controlled or the temperature gauge is showing overheat? I suspect the former. Which would mean the temperature blend motors are knackered. Or there is a problem with the HEVAC unit but the former is more likely.

I had a problem of over heating on my old isuzu trooper 2003. Would be fine driving along but as soon as you put your foot down or went up a hill it would overheat. Various people said viscous fan, thermostat, waterpump (impellar slipping, plastic on metal shaft), done all these and still had a problem. Turned out to be the rad was all furred up and needed a new one. Done this and all ok, well apart from being an isuzu so got rid of that and jummped into the fire, but a much better ride.

Petrol or diesel? Either way, first check is the viscous fan if the engine is overheating, followed by water pump, stat and RAD. As Wammers said, heati inside the car will be blend motors.
