Surge shifting has come back, sometimes. And clunk started again, sometimes. Seems transmission fix worked for a bit. Perhaps something else is about too pop.

You have a sticky valve block matey. Give the Lucas time to work. Or do another oil filter change and stick two bottles in. Not cheap, but a lot cheaper than a new box.

Cheers wammers, I will have a go, with another flush after I get back from holiday.

Going down to shell island wales for a week and the weather will mean I am out driving if it rains! Few 100 miles might sort it out.

Incidentally no clunking today, smooth through the gears, you are right perhaps it needs time. Just got another bottle of the Lucas oil anyway. Will give it a try in a couple of weeks if it ain't sorted ny then.

Adding the lucas transmission fix has made it slowly better until about a week ago. The clunking eventually stopped and hasn't happened since. Surging has stopped up the box too. Took about 300 miles to work.

Just needed some time to work. brilliant stuff.
