Well changed the pump over yesterday (tank out) and had a nice noise and a flow of bubbles in the clear tube from the filter, having changed that as well..... Thanks for the replies, VDO fitted. Couldn't believe olives were not supplied! Also have booked a quick trip to UK to see me Dad, so will be around Hampshire Dorset area over half term. Anybody recommend someone to diagnose the beast? Is that allowed on the forum? Would need doing Wed/Thu 20th/21st Feb. Dorset, Weymouth area preferred. Perhaps that is another thread. Thanks.

Its worse than that, it's a jack on a concrete block hanging over a hole covered by a cast-iron plate.
Acres of space all around too! ;)

Another jack under chassis but me thinks, but someone needs to invest in a couple of good axle stands. You only get away with that so many times.

No i see it, but should have one under the chassis. Maybe there is one but don't see it.
Taking the tank out is a good chance to check brake pipes and clear any c### that's gathered around the underfloor and chassis. Wipe round with an oily rag works wonders..

Anyone want to get back on track and answer the diag question?!

LZIR map might be an idea? @PastyMuncher83 is down Dorset way, I think? Or there's martyuk if you want to drive up to the Swindon area. Not far from there really. Lovely countryside along the A4 area too. I was surprised when I visited.

Thanks for the concern about me, truly appreciated! Good and bad points but no weight on the manhole cover and there is a slope on the drive so need to get the car sideways a bit to try and get on the little bit that is nearly level....... The jack on the block was for an extra inch to get the tank out from under the car. I have driven it up on to four concrete blocks....... Thanks Grrr will contact the names mentioned. By the way I did break a little piece and it is just observable in the picture..................
