You have to buy the modules separately on the Faultmate? Thought EAS was unlocked on all Nanocoms?
My Faultmate is not locked to one VIN, I purchased only the modules relevant to my car, even so it cost a fortune but worth every penny as it has helped quite a few other P38 owners.

Only engine ECU's require a license key on Nanocom. All other ECU's work for any P38 (assuming you select the correct Wabco or SRS versions).

Sadly not the case with Faultmate. I purchased it before Nanocom became available.

Pretty sure all work with EDC but WABCO D only works with Thor (and EDC) and WABCO C only works with GEMS (and EDC). Everything else should be common to all engine types.

Nanocom licenses for the engines are NCOM17 = GEMS, NCOM15 - Motronic & NCOM18 = EDC. All other ECU for all models use License NCOM16 regardless of model !!

The other NCOMxx product codes are simply bundles that include the device, cable & relevant licenses.
