Hi

Does anyone know how the disable the alarm module/siren etc on a 94 Soft Dash so i can connect into the existing central locking wires at the control unit for a better alarm as the factory one is not going to prevent some one from nicking it!

Im planning to fit an immobiliser/pager unit to make sure i keep it!!

No alarm is going to stop your car being nicked,just less reliable.

I think he means, the more you bolt on, the more to go wrong.

Exactly that,and most people are very casual about wiring connections,insulating looms and component location.At least the original system was reliable.The trouble is with a RRC and most other cars of that era is that you only need a couple of bits of wire in the right place bodged in and the car is away.
And when did anyone take any notice of a car alarm.Over the years I have removed loads of aftermarket alarms / immobilsers where owners have been left stranded by them.
