Oil temp gauge next to water temp gauge uses same ground as water & fuel.
Stopped working after a short water in horn positive feed, replaced both stalks.
Replaced sensor although new & old both fine new slightly better.
Conductivity wire sensor to gauge is good.
Replaced gauge tho both have conductivity unless there is another way to check gauge?
Ground same as water & fuel is okay.
2.5 na engine
oil temp stil not working wondering is anyone has a suggestion?

That is between the two terminals, but have you checked any conductivity to the case? I think this is a three terminal gauge & the case needs to be earthed.

I will check again I believe so getting time to do winter maintenance.

it does seem if it not working it would be earth, at one point I ran a extra ground with no change.
Time to look again.

I believe this is how the temperature gauge works.

Ah I can't seem to upload my diagram as I don't have permission to do that or nor do I have permission to view the page I on, despite being logged in. If I try to upload a file it has to have a URL & I can't see a way to send it from my PC.
