Hi guys,

Went to start the 90 this morning to use it for work and it wouldn't start. Solenoids lit up but nothing when you turn the key, only the click of the relay. And for some reason the fuel gauge is reading max full when I know theres less than half a tank in?

It got a good wash down with a jet wash at the weekend after greenlaning and it seems to of stemed from that.

I don't own a multimeter so I can't check feeds but I had a D1 once that did a similar thing and it was the ignition switch. ****ed off more than anything else with it!

Any help is vastly appreciated, ta muchly

Oh and it's 1988 90 with a 200 fitted

I have had the same problem with fuel gauge, it's probably down to a bad earth connection on the back of the gauge. Took the instrument panel off, cleaned the connections up and that sorted it.

Multimeter would be helpful, are you sure that the battery is fully charged?

Yeah, battery is defo fine. The truck has an isolator switch fitted which always gets turned off when I lock it up. Plus I thought that myself and slaved it off my other disco but I made no difference.

Could be a bad earth on engine/gearbox/chassis. Or it could that when you were laning/jetwashing it's got some water and much inside the starter or solenoid. Can you get someone to give the starter motor a tap with a broom handle whilst you try cranking it?
