Hi all, iv'e just got in after spending 2 or so hrs looking for a fault on my 90 when i engage 1st and begin to move there is a clunk from what i think is the rear diff the strange thing is my mates does the same.....we're at a loss, Any idea?????

Yea, mine does it and all the UJs are fine. My dads TD5 has done it since it came out the factory.

Its means youve got to control the drive power carfully at low speeds or it will judder, but the "Clonk...CLONK!" noise as you change up a gear whalst accelerating is one of my favorite things about the vehicle.

have you tryed looking at your rear A frame ball joint if thats fxxked then your hole axle will twist as you take up drive ,making a clunk , also have a look at rear radius arm bushes , i replaced all my bushes on my td5 110 back axle and it hav,nt had a clunk since
