I am new to the forums and new to owning a Defender so if i am posting in the wrong place i appologise. i bought my W reg defender about 2 months back and it has been pretty much flawless. about a week or so back i had my water in fuel light come on. the light went away so i took to the assumption it was ok but after driving it yesterday it was beginning to lose power and blowing a small amount of white smoke. the problem was intermitent and now the car has very little power, was struggling up inclines and taking ages for the revs to build up. i dont think its anything to do with the turbo but it does sound a bit haggard as well now. i havent driven it since as i dont want to do any more damage to it! i have a replacement fuel filter and will put that on later in the week but does it sound like that could be causing this loss of power and white smoke?
