Ive cut the others down and marked the holes out, ive realised ive got over the top with the door slider holes so ive worked it out so that they are exactly the same width apart all the way along the truck..... (i hope)

They wont be anything special they really are just a section of box section with holes in it lol.

Im gonna try and get them ready to be fitted saturday, although my door lines don't line up by a mile so if i get a chance saturday I'm going to probably put the series doors on while I'm at it..

Rob how much did you pay for your box section.?!

Sounds good! :D I'm excited to see the end result! Need to keep doing things to my truck without spending loads of money. Keeps me out of trouble see ;) these sliders seem like a good idea to kill an evening or too! :)
You using aluminium? And are you gonna paint em?

I paid 19 pound 24 pence for three offcuts two were 1948mm and one was just over 2meter I think. I've used steel as I was unsurehow strong ally would have been.

I'll be be using red primer then black paint.

First I'll have to figure out a way to clean the steel first as it's covered in a black soot

Spot on!

Just finished cutting all the holes out and now they are ready to be cleaned and painted, I think I'm gonna try some thinners on them to clean the crap off and run a rag through the inside soaked in thinners then get as much primer on the inside as i can...

I was thinking about having them galved but I'm inpatient and for the amount of time they took to make i am thinking of putting these on for a short while and then possibly making some out of ally so they will never rot.

Ok so the sliders are cut and primed, ran out of black spray tho and the place i get it from is closed until the 14th of jan so I'm just waiting..

my birthday on the 15th and as of this year Virgin media now gives its employees their birthday off work paid.. woop woop!

So i should get them painted thursday and fitted hopefully..

On another note my rear winch stopped working again.......

took it off, took it apart, couldnt figure out why... Got my mates wired up and that didnt work.. checked all my connections ect... Finally realised that i had knocked the earth to the solenoid off... Must have been when i threw my pedal lock into the back..
