the roof heading in my 90 has seen better days, i have taken it out and powerwashed it, which has helped to some extent. Its structurally sound, but just a bit stained and tatty.

has anyone ever tried dying theres with a black dye? if so, what did they use, how did it work?

Cheers

Plasticote flexible spray paint for upholstery. Available lots of colours from B&Q ;)

Sorted mine by using Oxyclean in warm water applied with a washing up sponge, followed by an aerosol upholstery cleaner (Halfords)

eBay. There's loads of people selling it. I ripped off the existing felt stuff, and then used a spray carpet adhesive to stick it the new felt to the backing. It's turned out good.

that felt thing is a good idea might try that myself .the range of coloured felt could make it very unique .thanks for that

A couple of pics of the recovered lining - it's not the easiest thing to photograph, and it was a grotty day outside! But you get the idea...
