Currently in the process of buying a new rear crossmember for my 97 300tdi. I have seen lots of negative response regarding Britpart Xmember so will avoid. I have today spoken with AJD landrovers in Hoddesdon who can supply a DDS Xmember at approx £169 plus Vat and they recommend this one. Has anyone had any experience of DDS Xmember and ease of fiting? Also can anyone recommend someone who could fit this in the Hertfordshire area?

If you cant get to pressbrake before 1st April then you could try RAC parts, they started making a cross member or else MIB offroad also do their own

Just about to replace my crossmember on the 90 and have removed the floor to get better access.... One question, will a 115mm grinder be large enough to cut through the chassis or do I need a larger cutter?

Unless it's a td5 no need to take the floor out

I know a 115 mm will cut the chassis but is the diameter of the blade sufficient to reach all around the chassis or will I need a 9" bladed disc cutter?

If you want to be able to cut though from just one side, not sure a 115mm disc will do it

Will be fine cutting around the chassis
