TD5 2002 90. It seems from stuff I have read that these bolts like to form an unbreakable rust bond.
In removing my steering guard the last bolt (it's always the last) sheered off. You can see it in the picture.
I have done a few local miles very gingerly. It's possibly a bit beyond my skills to remove this bolt and I don't think I can to get it to my local specialists (Alex Engineering) for a week or so, so I was wondering if anyone knows how much stress is going through this bolt? So far there is no sign of movememt but as it's my daily driver any feedback would be helpful.

Personally I wouldn’t risk it, the stresses a car puts on its components are far more then we put on with tools etc. What if it came loose and stressed some other components that then failed as you were half way round a roundabout or something?

Plus gas, and a punch and a big hammer to belt it out
 
It might be me because I've been drinking a lot of strong beer, red wine and now strong beer again. But, I can't see a sheared bolt there. I can see your panhard rod bolt with nut on it. Are you saying the bolt head has sheared off the back of the panhard rod bolt? If so, you'd be bonkas to drive it anywhere! And, it'll be easy to get it out. So, I'm guessing alcohol is clouding the issue for me here :)
 
It's not the main panhard rod bolt. It's the lower bracket bolt. There's a lot of rust around the top. More beer will always find a way.

It is the centre bolt that has lost it head, shank still rusted in place. Bolt to power steering bracket and the top bolt still there. Pic got there first.

This ^^ and if it doesn't work use a bigger hammer until it does.

I will also second everyone else warning about driving it. I have been in a similar situation and driven gingerly local miles to collect the parts but I was younger and more fool hardy at the time, I would not do it now.
