Hi

Got a 90 p reg 300tdi
Looking at making a seat box between the rear arches and mounting 2 bucket seats facing forwards

Does it need to comply ?

I'm thinking a solid metal box frame bolted through

Any suggestions/comments?

How will people get in and out??

Seatbelts will need to pass MOT as will seat mounts.

Insurance will need to be informed

V5 will need changing to reflect number of seats.

Dont think will need dvla seat notification as not marked on V5 unless minibus etc .

Forward facing seats are not good for access unless you only fit one. With two you basically have to fold one up to get in and out through the back door. The factory-fit ones have a bit of a step in the wheel arches so the seats can be mounted further out. With bucket seats, rear facing would be the only usable option I think.
