hoping for some info on replacing the doors on 1985 90.
1st is there anywhere i can buy complete doors (windows, seals ect) that are brand new.
2nd will the push button doors fit (mine are lift up style)
3rd what is the best type of hinge set to buy

thank you in advance for reading this and possibly replying

I bought some new doors for my 94 and they cost £1200. You can go down the series route and save a bundle. It's the extras that add the cost.

The early lift up handle doors are now quite rare, even getting lock parts can be difficult. As said above, a conversion to Series doors with lift up handles and separate tops/sliding windows is good value, or the later push button doors will fit - you'll need the later locks/catches too. If your existing doors locks work, it could be worth while repairing the rusty frames - You haven't said they are, but it's a sure bet lol.

the locks on the door are probably the best bit about the doors as the frames are shagged and the top of the door is not longer touching the door seal which is creating some water ingress , the price of the doors isnt really to much of an issue i just know if i go to buy them bit by bit ill miss something out.so was mostly hoping it was possible to buy complete doors. ive looked on ebay but most of the second had ones are in the the same sort of state as mine.
thanks for the rply

The only place I know of that can supply new doors for your vehicle are Ashtree Restoration International Ltd. I don't have any experience of using them - maybe someone else on here has?

or if anyone could be really helpful and do me a list of what ide need parts wise to complete/create a whole door.

next question do the glass from a lift up handle fit a push button.

i know thats quite an ask but would be highly appreciated.
thanks in advance

Ash tree do galv doors. Make sure you are sitting down when you ask the price.oh then ask how long it will take to make;)
Glass will fit.
don't like push button handles. These Handles grab trees while green laneing

I got mine from SP4x4, and transferred the locks and glass straight from the old doors.
The Series doors fitted beautifully, and once I had stuck the rubber seals in place, they give a reassuring chunk when they close.
