A friend has been having running problems with his 92 K plate 2,1/4 petrol.
First thoughts was maybe a dodgy fuel pump, for which he changed for a maybe cause of intermittent fuel starvation. As it can run for days with no problems and then splutter to a stop.
The fuel seems to be returing to the tank ok at a trickle. Other times the carbs seems to be over fueling, as fuel will run out of the breather/vent pipe from the carb.
Could there a problem in the fuel vapouriser pot ?? on the bulkhead and would the fuel cut-off solenoid cause any problems. Also is there any known relays hidden away that can cause problems

Any ideas, as i was planning to have a look at it tomorrow for him..
 
If ya friend has a K reg 2 1/4 petrol defender there is something seriously amiss? K reg defender should have 2.5L petrol or 200tdi diesel injun.
 
Sorted now as i have replaced the fuel pump. As whoever supplied the replacment pump had given him a fuel injection pump:doh:
