I have recently bought a 90 Bulkhead to fit on my Series 3 Land Rover. What I was wondering is will the tunnel fit or will I have to fit the Series one.

well the defender one will fit the bulkhead but it wont fit the seatbox I think, don't see why you didn't just get a series one.......

windscreen mounts are different for a start as are the pedals etc

I'd looked at all the Series Bulkheads on eBay and they either were rotten or expensive. Then I found a 90 bulkhead on there that was nearly new and won it for £40!

I won a newly refurbed series one for £33 a few weeks back

I'd sell the 90 one on, make a profit then buy a series one if not it'll take some work

Hi, if you do a search you will find it has been done before. Not long ago you could buy new Defender bulkheads quite cheap and convert them to Series, not sure why Defender bulkheads suddenly went up in price.

Happy New Year to all.

There's a thread with a how to if you search online. I believe they did some 'cutting and pasting' with the centre section to make it more like a series. That might have been related to the lump that sticks out across the upper part. Used to be very common, new bulkheads were only £170 as a new genuine part a few years ago, galactic feck up on land rovers part, when sales went through the roof they realised and they're over a grand now.

Hi. I have just finished fitting a defender bulkhead to my series 3. You have to replace the gearbox tunnel as its a different shape, the drivers footwell also really needs to be replaced and of course the windscreen mounts. I also changed the passenger footwell but I don't think you really have to. It was a load of work, but my bulkhead was so far gone it wasn't worth doing at work to.
