Assuming you use a Disco 300tdi engine then you just need to move engine mounts and that is all...

If you were putting it into a defender you'd need a different fly wheel housing.
 
ah you meant because of the simpler installation

i'd be happy to fit the 300 nowadays due to so many of them having been fitted and the various information there is about but on saying that i like those types of challenges (wedged a GSXR1100h engine into a Z750ltd chassis once) and it's "relatively" simple if the research is done and you can weld

the thing i dislike mostly about the 300 is the serpentine belt but i guess that's already been sussed, i've a remote oil filter amongst my bits so all i'd need to do is fabricate the adaptor plate to retain the original chassis mounts rather than cut the offside one off and replace/relocate it

mixing and matching parts is half the fun of building my own motors
