Hey there,

I’m currently restoring a LHD 3 Door Range; not to a concourse standard but to a point where I can enjoy the car and a few local off road trips.. its currently fitted with a VM 2.4 with just shy of 360.000kms…. for sure in time it will need some serious work (turbo already not spinning) ..

Can anyone tell me the easiest or best conversion ?

I could rebuild my current engine but are thinking more 200tdi transplant … but I would love a V8.. to make the conversion a reality I know I need to keep it simple, so want to avoid lots of bulkhead / body work .. wiring, transmission adapters etc..

Needless to say I’m new to the world of coil sprung LR products  ..

Which other vehicles use the VM 2.4 ? Rover Diesel possibly …

I guess this is the first of many quesitons

cheers
Matt

Stick a working turbo on it, sell it, and buy one that already has a V8.
Save yourself all that work,

or, if you love your one, buy a donor vehicle with V8, then you will have a very easy time swapping it all into yours.
